Concrete cancer, corrosion and rehabilitation in Sydney

A concrete rehabilitation contractor delivering engineered repair, epoxy crack injection, protective coatings and CFRP strengthening to the engineer’s specification. We break out to sound concrete, treat and prime the reinforcement, then reinstate to the specified EN 1504 system, with ITP and QA records on every package. Concrete remediation across Greater Sydney.

Fully insured and ticketed crews. Talk your project scope through with our team.

Concrete cancer and exposed reinforcement
Concrete Repair

Concrete cancer repair, spalling and delamination.

Concrete cancer repair, spalling repair, delamination and carbonation-induced reinforcement corrosion. Break out to sound concrete, treat and prime the corroded reinforcement, then reinstate with the specified repair mortar, executed step-for-step to the engineer’s methodology with full ITP documentation (EN 1504-3 repair principles where specified). Concrete repair and remediation across Sydney, spanning balconies, car parks, facades, columns and retaining walls.

CARE operator injecting epoxy resin into a concrete crack
Crack Injection

Concrete crack repair, structural bonding and water ingress sealing.

Epoxy crack injection and polyurethane injection for structural crack repair, crack bonding and water ingress sealing in concrete. Product selection, injection pressure and port spacing per the specification (EN 1504-5 injection).

Protective coating system applied to concrete surface
Protective Coatings

Anti-carbonation coating and protective coating systems for concrete.

Anti-carbonation coating, concrete waterproof membranes and corrosion-inhibiting protective coating systems for concrete applied to the specified product and film thickness, with surface preparation, priming and dry film thickness recorded (EN 1504-2 surface protection).

CFRP structural strengthening application
Structural Strengthening

Carbon fibre (CFRP) strengthening to the engineer’s design.

As a structural strengthening contractor, CARE applies carbon fibre (CFRP) plate and fabric for flexural and shear strengthening to the structural engineer’s design. Surface preparation, adhesive application and laminate placement per the manufacturer and engineer requirements.

Method

How a remediation package runs.

Every concrete remediation package is delivered to the engineer’s repair methodology, from investigation through to documented close-out.

  1. Investigation & assessment

Delamination survey, cover and half-cell potential readings, and sampling to establish the extent and the cause of the deterioration.

  2. Engineering & method

Repair methodology, product selection and the ITP agreed with the engineer before work starts, referencing the EN 1504 principles that apply.

  3. Break-out & preparation

Unsound concrete removed back to a sound substrate, reinforcement exposed, cleaned and primed, and edges cut square.

  4. Reinstatement & protection

Repair mortars, coatings and corrosion protection applied to the specified product, thickness and cure, with sacrificial or cathodic systems where designed.

  5. Verification & close-out

Hold points, adhesion and thickness checks, and the QA records compiled for handover.
